How to purchase images on this Website

The Image Order Process

1) Pick a Product Type*
2) Choose image(s) (if applicable)
3) Add items to your Cart
4) Review/confirm your shopping cart
5) Register as a user (if not already logged in)
6) Check out with PayPal or use your major credit card
7) Download your image(s) and/or receive DVD delivery

*standalone images OR choose a subscription type

File Size Information

Picking the file size(s) you need is the first step. This is very easy because our images are available in the following 3 sizes:

  
XS: 72dpi, 1200x800px, JPG- These sized images are great for Webpages, 5" x 7" prints or for making calendars. File sizes range from 300kb to 1400kb (1.4mb). Delivered by instant download.
L: 8 bit, 300dpi, 5400x3600px, Large Format JPG- Great for making 8" x 12" to 12" x 18" prints, or for use in many professional/commercial electronic usages. File size averages around 15mb each. Delivered by instant download.
SUPER: 16 bit, 300dpi, 5400x3600px, TIFF: These massive sized electronic images are 100% commercial & true colour magazine quality and are large enough to create movie poster-sized high quality photographic prints as large as 30" x 45". File sizes average around 100mb or more each. Delivered via DVD with free shipping (For orders over $200 USD).

Subscriptions:

If you are unsure which images you want because you see "too many to choose from", then order a subscription. We have 2 types of subscriptions for you to choose from:

 
duration subscription: This is a cash-based pre-pay system. This subscription type allows you to you use your pre-paid credit (e.g. $500 valid over 2 years) to use as freely as you wish. Think of this as an electronic "gift certificate". We are always adding new beautiful images to our galleries as well even new categories too. We will also have special holiday sales (i.e. Mother's Day or Christmas specials!) So why not see what's coming up soon? We will never take down the existing images for sale, so you have nothing to lose.

package subscription: These are bundles of varied media from our Website a super deep discounted price. This subscription type allows you to you use the power of buying in BULK to save money. We want to help you get the images you need, so if you have a suggestion for a package subscription type, please feel free to contact us to tell us about it.

Free Registration

In order to track your orders, you will be required to register with our Website. There is no need to be concerned because Pacific Northwest Photography will never sell, share or use your private information. We only use your information for tracking your orders and/or for your customer service needs. Registration is free, easy and will only take 3 minutes of your time. Once registered, you will be eligible for discounts we offer all of our customers. These discounts are in the form of coupon codes for, eg. "25% all orders for this week only" type sales.

In order to register, you will need a valid email address to take advantage of your new free membership. We suggest using Yahoo Mail.

Searching

We have created an easy to search database for our images. As you can see there are separate categories to browse and select the images you wish to order. Once you find the thumbnail photo you like, just click on it to enlarge the photo. It will give you details about the photo, sizes available, and prices. KEYWORDS are embedded and linked on each full image details page to assist you in searching with the KEYWORD SEARCH feature.

e.g. You find an image from a "ocean" category search, but you see an sailboat in the photograph. One of the keywords for the photo is "new zealand". You click on the 'new zealand" keyword to see all images our Website that share the keyword. It's easy!! :-)

Lightbox

A "Lightbox" is simply a place where you can save/store for later the images you want to view all at once. This works just like your Web browser "Favourites" folder. You can easily view your collection of images in your Lightbox just by clicking the Lightbox link at the top of any page on our Website. You can add up to 40 images to your LIGHTBOX. They will be held for up to 30 days. If you wish to purchase images in your lightbox, click on the thumbnail to view the enlarged image. Select the options you wish to purchase and click on the "Add to Cart" button. If you wish to share your lightbox with a friend, you can even send a link from your lightbox through our easy-to-use email form.

Royality Free vs. RIghts Managed

At this time, all images on Pacific Northwest Photography are being sold as "Royalty Free" unless the customer is a business client intending a mass duplication of the image(s) in any format (print, electronic, miscellaneous media, print, films, etc) that they purchase. If you wish to set up a custom licensing agreement, please contact us so may further assist you. At all times, full copyright ownership of every image belongs exclusively to Pacific Northwest Photography or it's respective photographer regardless if images are sold as "Rights Managed".

All images on this website are copyrighted by Pacific Northwest Photography or it's respective photographer. Any commercial copying, usage and/or distribution is strictly prohibited by International Copyright Law unless pre-arranged with a licensing agreement.

Shopping Cart  

Your "Shopping Cart" displays your order details, if you wish to delete an image from your order before proceeding to checkout, simply hit the "Remove" link on the right side. 

Check Out

You will need to login to checkout your order. If you are new to the site click the "New User" link and create a login name and password. This information is stored so that you can return to the site and so that we can review your order. 

We use a PayPal for purchases made on this site. If you have already set up an account with us you'll find the process of ordering quick and easy. If you signed-in, you will be asked to register with us and it will take a little longer as you need to enter all your information. One of the benefits of registering is that you can create a favorites list of items you wish to discuss with us.

With PayPal, you DO NOT need to have a PayPal account to use PayPal. You only need a major credit card - it's very simple!

This page shows your order history and also allows you to download any instant download orders.

Taxes

We are required by the New Zealand government to collect 11% VAT on all sales for all customers residing in New Zealand. Otherwise, no sales tax will be applied.

Delivery

Our standard delivery service is through New Zealand Courier Post. New Zealand Courier Post has agreements with DHL and other very reliable major shipping companies so your order will get to you promptly and undamaged.

All DVDs are carefully wrapped in bubble wrap envelopes and insured with a courier for deliver. All deliveries will be shipped from Wellington, New Zealand unless noted otherwise. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery for standard delivery time. If you need your order sent via urgent express (fastest possible), please contact us so we may further assist you.
